ASE Education Foundation Scholarships

Applications are now available for the Michael Busch Memorial Scholarships which are presented by the ASE Education Foundation. Two students entering the collision industry will receive scholarships for the 2026–27 academic year. The deadline to apply is March 31, 2026.

The Michael Busch Memorial Scholarships were created in memory of the son of a former collision shop owner and ASE board member, Jim Busch, who operated a shop in Issaquah, Washington until his retirement. His son, Michael, was an automotive technology student who tragically lost his battle with cancer.

Qualified applicants should be a graduating high school senior, a high school graduate or have earned a GED certificate. In addition, applicants should be enrolled or planning to enroll as a full-time student in a two- or four-year college or university or an ASE-accredited post-secondary collision repair program.

ASE Busch Memorial Scholarships

Two $1,000 scholarships are awarded each year to collision students and one $1000 scholarship to an automotive technician student.

Qualified applicants should be a graduating high school senior, or have graduated from high school or received a GED certificate.

Applicants should be enrolled or planning to enroll as a full-time student in a 2 or 4 year college or an ASE accredited post-secondary automotive technician training program.

The ASE Education Foundation is a non-profit organization that evaluates and accredits entry-level automotive technology education programs against standards developed by the automotive service industry. It also develops career-readiness education for students which fuse local partnerships, rigorous standard-based education, workplace experience, and mentorship together. Staff members of Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium sponsoring associations and their family members are not eligible.
