Educator of the Year: JIM DEVAPRASAD
Congratulations to Jim Devaprasad on being the 2026 A3 Educator of the Year, sponsored by Siemens. For nearly four decades at Lake Superior State University, Devaprasad has helped shape the future of robotics and automation by building programs that go beyond theory and provide the hands-on experience students need to succeed from day one.
From pioneering one of the first robotics degree programs in the U.S. to leading the Center for Advanced Robotics Engineering, his work consistently connects classroom learning with real-world application. He also champions workforce development through deep industry collaboration and a long-standing commitment to A3’s educational mission. You can find Jim and his class at booth #33051 in the Education Pavilion.
