NJIT Power and Energy Program

NJIT is offering specialized Graduate Certificate programs and a Master’s Program focused on Wind Energy, Power Systems, and Transmission – available in online study mode. These programs aim to build the power systems, transmission and wind power talent pipeline in New Jersey, supporting the state’s clean energy goals and beyond. New Jersey Institute of Technology recently announced that it has revamped its Master’s in Power and Energy Systems program, adapting it to changing needs in the industry.

The degree now has three specialized tracks:

  1. Power system track: Includes courses such as power systems steady state analysis, transients in power systems and protection of power systems;
  2. Wind power track: Includes courses such as wind power transmission and grid interconnection, HVDC design, operation and maintenance and power system dynamics;3️
  3. Smart grid track: Includes courses such as power grid modernization, power electronics, intelligent sensing for smart grid and smart city.

The school also is offering a wind power graduate certificate.

The courses are supported by the New Jersey Economic Development Authority and industry leaders such as Public Service Enterprise Group.
