Join us at ACTE’s 2024 National Work-Based Learning (WBL) Conference, happening May 1–3 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Learn about innovations in WBL, model programs across the nation, and insights on supporting the delivery of quality experiences that foster in-depth, firsthand engagement with the skills required in any given career field.

Program Sessions
During the conference, you will be able to select from 63 concurrent sessions covering trending topics WBL:
- Developing a WBL curriculum
- Cultivating meaningful employer/business partner interactions (including employer incentives for participation)
- Ensuring equitable access to WBL opportunities (including overcoming barriers such as transportation)
- Understanding compliance with laws and regulations (insurance, worker’s compensation, age restrictions)
- Managing WBL programs
- Learning about new and innovative WBL initiatives (funding, summer programs, simulations, virtual & entrepreneurship)
- Growing, promoting, recruiting for and marketing your WBL program
Featured Keynote Speaker – Kevin Paul Scott
Kevin Paul Scott has traveled to six continents and spoken to leaders from more than 100 countries. Kevin co-founded the leadership consultancy ADDO (which is Latin for Inspire). In addition to serving businesses and brands, ADDO partners to inspire students, equip educators, and impact schools across America. ADDO developed the national Chick-fil-A Leader Academy program, currently in more than 1,000 schools across 43 states. Additionally, ADDO created the Baltimore Ravens Leadership Institute, which serves elementary schools with an innovative character education program. Kevin is passionate about investing in educators. Over the last several years, Kevin has spoken to and consulted with several school districts, as well as at national educator conferences and associations.
Networking Opportunities
Registration for the 2024 WBL Conference includes a variety of networking opportunities and events. Mix and mingle with other WBL coordinators, CTE teachers, administrators, and staff from state departments of education during:
- Receptions (Wednesday and Thursday evenings)
