NextEra Energy STEM Program

NextEra Energy, an energy infrastructure company, has awarded McCamey Independent School District $50,000 to enhance STEM education programs. The award was announced Monday in a post on the company’s Facebook page, showing representatives posing with a large check alongside students and district administrators. The post states that the funds are intended to enhance STEM programs in the district and aid students in building the necessary skills for future careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

NextEra Energy operates nationwide and specializes in energy infrastructure as demand continues to grow.

The company also aims to stimulate rural economies and operates a facility in McCamey, Texas.
